PPI Claim Offer !

Hi,
I was contacted by HSBC about a loan and advised I had PPI and would I like to make a complaint about mis-selling. I filled in their form basically saying I could not remember how or why it was sold to me. they have now advised they have upheld my complaint and offered my payment for being disadvantaged and an element of interest.
I have no idea how this is calculated, and wonder if should just accept it or go the Ombudsman ? Am I being greedy or if I went to the Ombudsman would this affect my offer from the Bank ?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

They will only offer you what you are due. You don't haggle about it unless you can prove you paid more, but if they are upholsing, then they will give you what you paid in PPI plus any associated interest, plus 8% simple interest.
Going to the ombudsman will not net you any more.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0 -
