in Techie Stuff
I have received my Samsung Galaxy Note, trying to connect to my broadband it keeps telling me the connection is poor.....then says the strength of signal is good, goes to look for the ?IP and nothing happens. it just does not connect......can any one help. My lap top has no problem at all connecting with my Sky router.
You will have to explain clearly, I am not a techie....just a 69 year old trying to catch up with the modern world.

I've never used a Sky Hub before however somethings to think about.
Is the wireless router setup to block new devices unless you explicitly allow them?
Is the Tablet definitely connecting to your wireless network and not auto switching to a different one?
Try the this link perhaps as it seems to be a known issue.0 -
could also be that your samsung cant work well with the wpa2 encryption or whatever encryption your password is set on.
you may have to ring sky and ask them how you can lower your encryption to wep and see if it connects then.0 -

I'm not sure what to suggest but will mention that there should be no issues with the Galaxy Note (original 5.3in phone) and WPA2 as that's what I mostly use mine on (stock JB 4.1 rom).
