Unfortunately not all employers disclose salaries when advertising vacant positions. You can apply for a job - get to interview stage, only to find out that they aren't willing to pay what you would find acceptable...it's one of my pet hates and it wastes time and effort on behalf of the employer and prospective employee, I wish they'd be more upfront!Unless the job advert stated salary negotiable why apply knowing that the offered salary of £300 was too low?Laughter is the sun

Time to check your budget!
oh, I DO hate that! Agencies are the worst. I was between jobs a couple of years back and applying for everything.not all employers disclose salaries when advertising vacant positions
I actually got to second interview stage on a couple and asked the salary. When they told me I simply smiled and said "Thanks for seeing me". Picked my gear up and walked out.
If the job is through an agency and you have been offered then go back to them and ask them to re-negotiate the rate. As they get paid based on the salary they secure for you it's in their interest.
If you really can't live on that salary and they won't renegotiate then walk away.0 -
£30 a week is only a £1560 increase if gross, or about £2000 net.
They would probably pay the agency that type of fee to find someone else
