    Yes indeed thats the one potential cause of the problem. This is proper plumbing BTW not changing loo syphons

    OP has already been asked (9.54 last evening) to confirm his configuration vented or unvented - not replied yet - pity.

    So no solution unless person with problem cooperates with questions asked. So if OP confirms that they do have a vent pipe then:
    Why not get an engineer in to check the vent pipe
    would be exactly the correct advice.
    By the way - I think we plumbers on here should get on with each other personally . . .
    I think every one should make the effort to get on with everyone else irrespective. Sometimes we fail though - its part of the human condition.
    The problem with plumbers is that we are so damn opinionated!!!!!!

    Still at least we know how to have a laugh huh?!?!
