Hi there, if anyone here either works for RBS or natwest or has any experiance in this please help
i have a low credit rating at the moment
4 old "fully satisfied" defaults from over 3 years ago
no bankruprancys, IVAs or ccjs
no CIFAS or gains
and all my current credit commitments are run well
if the 4 defaults albiet paid wernt there id have a super credit score
i was looking for a "foot in the door" basic acc, but im worried as some people in this forum have been declined for said accounts
please help someone?

Nobody can say for sure you will get this, that and the other current account even if you had a perfect credit record and was earning thousands per week
You can make an educated guess based on knowledge.
Personally I'd apply for the Natwest step account (if that's what you want) and see what they say/do but, as this is a basic bank account you have a greater chance of success than you do with a full current account with cheque guarantee card but, that doesn't mean that if you applied for a full current account all banks would refuse you.Proudly Banking & Saving With:

Natwest Step accounts are not credit scored, you do not have to supply bank statements, just usual id. We open several for discharged bankrupts with no problems so can't see yours being any trouble at all, but as said before nothing is guaranteed. As you go through the application process on screen the computer tells you which account you can have at quite an early point.Too many children, too little time!!!0
