What is the riskiest thing I can self-invest my pathetic little pension pot in?

Thanks! Unfortunately I can't change a tap washer without causing a flood so investing in my own REIT or however he pulled that off isn't really an option!

What has been quite an interesting revelation from the above responses is what sort of investments are genuinely "high risk" as compared to what my current provider describes as "high risk" in the glossy brochure that accompanies my annual statement. Seems their definition of "high risk" is "not cash".
