Renault PPI Claim???

Hello,
New to the forum and couldn't find the advice I needed - apologies to everyone if it has already been answered...
I had 2 Renault vehicles between 1997-2002 (roughly), both on Renault finance (which was then RFS). I only have one registration, bank statements showing I paid RFS money every month but no physical proof I had PPI...as over 6 years old Renault say they have none of my records. Would love to know if I can claim or how as every avenue I have explored so far is a blank, Thanks people!

It would not be unexpected for them to not hold records. Dealers did not become regulated until January 2005 and these are pre-regulation cases. They are both paid and most firms use the 6 year guide nowadays. Especially on pre-regulation stuff.
If they have nothing and you have nothing then its game over. If you dont believe them then you can spend £10 and do a data subject access request. However, even if they do find something, you may find they wont consider your complaint as its pre-regulation.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). :oMany thanks for this. It was what I feared but expected. This would've been my big PPI claim out and success story. but what you don't have you don't miss right:)0
