My vacuum cleaner went up in smoke so I need a new one.
Any recommendations for a lightweight vacuum cleaner, upright mains not battery, especially for stairs?
Thanks

Have you tried a cylinder cleaner with a turbo head attachment? They have a rotating brush just like your upright cleaner, but they're cylinders so easier to get in to gaps, under things and to clean the stairs. Lighter and easier to carry around too, although with a decent length hose you should be able to just sit it in the middle of the room and not need to move it around that much anyway. Mine cleans just as well as the upright it replaced and does a lot more things too, as I can swap the tools over quickly while I'm using it.0
