  • Agree with person above Margate is nice aswell and they have a shell Grotto a shell building underground.Broadstairs and Margate are proper beaches don't think much of bournemouth been there a few times not much to do and the sand is thin heard it was going to be very packed today don't think you will be able to see the sand.

    Broadstairs is nice - the kids always went there on their school trips.

    And my son ended up going to catering college there so we would visit.

    Probably too late for the OP but for anyone else who is interested in London to Bournemouth, 3 or 4 people can travel on Southwest Trains for the price of 2 with their Groupsave ticket. You don't need to book in advance, just buy at the station.

    Im not being funny here and realise this post is days old now but Broadstairs is closer to London than Brounemouth.

    get the high speed train and youre there in about 1hour 20mins if you get the one via canterbury.
