3 kasperskys for 12 quid. don't take the disk out of the box. download the 2013 version from the kaspersky website. The 2012 code works with it.
Next year you can decide which antivirus you want.0 -
For what it's worth, I've used AVG Internet Security for a few years and nevr experienced an infection. I've kept reading on here that you can get as good protectin for free so when t expired the other month, I followed some of the advice and installed Microsoft Security Essentials. Within 2 weeks, I had the UKash virus. Once I got rid of it the first thing I did was install latest AVG.0

It's a good job you never came across these that are hot off the press (from a couple of minutes ago at time of posting) - detected by MSE, missed by AVG.

I notice that the one I use, and is also frequently suggested on here, picked up both. That's the Free Avast.Move along, nothing to see.0 -

The point I'm trying to make is anecdotal evidence of getting infected whilst using antivirus A but not whilst using antivirus B means very little. All scanners will miss things that others may detect. You've no real idea if using a different AV would have saved you from infection.0 -

That's a little like recommending a certain house insurer over another because you didn't get burgled whilst insured with them
avg is free anyway!!
