PPI Claim HSBC - Possibly Unsure

Hi,

I keep seeing this PPI everywhere and want to know what I need to do.

I have a loan (around £30k) with HSBC which I took out before I claimed credit card charges - over 10 years ago, the loan is a fixed amount of £229.57 per month, I get a statement each year detailing the fixed payment and a running balance, no PPI or anything else shown, I for the life of me cant remember what I setup with this loan, all I know is it was done in branch, I would have hoped my sensible side of me would have taken PPI out on this loan as I have had it a long time and it was a large amount.

I cant phone up and ask about the loan as they wont deal with me over phone due to me having no telephone banking with them.

Do we have any standard letters asking for details about the loan and wether it has an PPI on it.

And does anyone think it is worth investigating.

if you cant ask them over the phone (I have never heard of needing phonebanking to ask a simple question) then you write to them to ask them
