Does being in my employers health scheme affect benefit entitlement?

I am part of my employers Simplyhealth scheme.
In order for my employer to pass the responsibility of paying tax on the payments to the scheme to the employee, they pay £103.09 to me each month (shown on the left side of my payslip in the gross payments) then immediately deduct it (shown on the right side of my payslip as a deduction alongside Tax/NI etc).
This effectively increases my gross amount paid on my P60 by £1,237.08, even though I never see the money and only get it paid/deducted so I pay the tax on the payment.
Do I need to declare the actual gross income shown in my P60 (including the additional £1,237.08) when claiming benefits such as Housing & Council Tax Benefit or Tax Credits? If so, is there any way of asking my local council or HMRC to ignore the Simplyhealth payments or at least taken them into account when calculating our benefit entitlement?

Is it included in the gross taxable figure? If so then it will affect tax credits anyway as that is the figure they use.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0

You have to declare the figure on your p11d for tax credits anyway so it's added to your income whichever way it's recorded on your p60.0

might throw some light - otherwise contact HMRC and ask.0
