Wish me luck ladies and I shall let you all know if I give in and put a deposit down!
I found mine in a local bridal shop, but they went bust 4 months after I tried it on, luckily without any deposit. I kept putting the designer into google & eBay and one day it came up on eBay, for 15% of the original price, being sold by the liquidators acting for the insolvency lawyers! I arranged a short term o/d with my bank, offered a daft price and including courier paid less than 11% of the ticket price, just under £140 for a Linea Raffaelli ivory silk taffeta & tulle dress with a RRP of £1295 in 2008.0 -
I bought mine at the end of April this year and my wedding is July next year so over a year! Mine takes 6 months to come in though from the order date.0

We paid a deposit on mine this time last year, and we get married this month next year... I've signed up for a package with the suits and accessories too, and getting it for the 2012 price rather than 2014 price so I've saved a bit.

Three years for me. Saw it in a window, went home, went back, tried it, bought it on the spot. I've never seen another one like it and although I had a few alterations done (changed from button up to lace up due to shape change, chest altered which is bizarre as I've never found something in my size too big for the chest usually other way around, and some gathers put in the top layer of the skirt) I'm so glad I got that one.
We were meant to get married 18 months after I got it but had to wait another 18 months after that!
If you love it, can afford it, go for it! As long as you know it can be altered as required if there are any changes to youNo longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -

Am really fighting the urge to go to wedding dress shops, especially now as lots of them are getting the 2014 collections in, but still need to get a final budget before I can do any serious shopping.
I have however seen this one, which I really really love (to the extent I had a dream where I was wearing it the other week!): http://www.furcoatnoknickers.co.uk/ginandit.php

Thats a gorgeous dress :T
Dress no 1 (11 months before) was more of a bridesmaids dress to be honest cost around £20 off ebay my daughters took one look and told me it wasn't good enough
dress no 2 (9 months before) was totally different a gorgeous dress very bridal but i felt it was a bit too much given my age that was £50 from ebay
dress 3 (7 months before)was another no no it was more of a cocktail number not bridal enough £30 off ebay
dress no 4 (5 months before) was a lovely 2 piece £30 off ebay very classy but still not quite right
dress no 5 (3 months before) £50.00 from ebay is the one :T:T a gorgeous tea length dress very bridal but not over the top i absolutely love it :j so glad i didn't settle :T
i sold all of the other back on ebay except one which i gave to charity I didn't lose any money in fact i made a small profit
All this may seem a bit mad but i ended up paying around £50 for a £600 dress0 -
I bought mine a year before. Came in quite quickly to the shop so have had it quite a while.0
