So 'fess up ladies - How soon before your wedding day did you start looking at and eventually buy your wedding dress.
I am in a bit of a dilemma as I have seen the PERFECT wedding dress but we don't get married till 2015. It's taking every ounce of willpower I have not to walk into the bridal shop and demand to try it on! :rotfl:
Link the the dress here for all you nosey bods!

That is stunning! What a beautiful dress...
I got my dress about 2 months before my wedding (from ebay, new with tags, paid £90, original price £1200) Couple of tiny alterations and it was a perfect fit. Then had to postpone wedding to October and I've had a bit of a job keeping the same shape! I'm a size 10 but lose and add weight randomly. Add to that I'm 51 so body is a bit out of control anyway..
The bride I bought from said that she had bought the dress, then saw THE perfect one. good luck with whatever you decide xx0 -
I am having the same dilemma, I don't get married til the end of next year but I want to go shopping NOW! and that dress is gorgeous, might have to add it to my list of dresses to drool over....0

That dress is gorgeous!!! Exactly the style I'm looking for! Also planning a 2015 wedding... Concentrating on getting a venue first though. There has been a bit of dress browsing though!
I would try it on... But that might take the willpower test too far! Enjoy browsing a bit more. You never know you might find the ONE again!!0 -
I found mine in 2008, bought it from Ebay in 2009, we married in 2010
ETA we got engaged in 20060 -
I found mine on the Tuesday. We married on the Friday!
That dress is lovely BTW.0 -
I bought mine 18 months before the wedding.
I knew exactly which dress I wanted, and it was coming to the end of the season so I had just a few months left to buy it. Wasn't going to miss the opportunity.0 -
I bought mine 2 years before

I'm not getting married until November next year and am already looking at dresses! Am really fighting the urge to go to wedding dress shops, especially now as lots of them are getting the 2014 collections in, but still need to get a final budget before I can do any serious shopping.
I have however seen this one, which I really really love (to the extent I had a dream where I was wearing it the other week!): http://www.furcoatnoknickers.co.uk/ginandit.php"A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone, if it is to keep its edge." - Tyrion LannisterMarried my best friend 1st November 2014Loose = the opposite of tight (eg "These trousers feel a little loose")Lose = the opposite of find/gain (eg "I'm going to lose weight this year")0 -
