Company being sold - bonus

Hi,

Sorry if I am in the wrong forum.

The company I work for are buying the shareholders out, which should happen anytime soon. In the contract between my director and the other shareholders is that I receive a 5k bonus from 1 shareholder & the director. Should I receive these straight away when the deal is done/signed? do I get taxed on this?

Any info on this would be appreciated.

regards,

Loftty

I have no idea when you would get it and yes it would be subject to Tax and National Insurance.
