I use Thunderbird too but cannot see a Spam Box? I can see a "junk" folder and very occasionally mail gets downloaded in that folder but everyday without fail I have mail in my Gmail Spam that does not get downloaded to Thunderbird, nor did it when I used Outlook? The best things in life are free.....0 -
Mine is the same as normal- nothing like you describe.
Perhaps it is something that is being rolled out over time...0 -

In my Thunderbird I have a list of my email accounts in the left pane. For my Gmail one, I have "Inbox" and then next item is "Gmail". I click Gmail and then I get a list of folders including "drafts", "deleted" and there's one for "spam".2019 Wins

Thanks very much for your reply. How weird though as I don't have that in my Thunderbird. I presume it must be something you can set up in Gmail settings rather than Thunderbird? I will have a look although not much of a problem for me as I use the webmail during the week so always keep an eye on my spam.
Thanks anyway. The best things in life are free.....0 -
I logged in to one of my gmail accounts today and found what the OP mentioned.
My inbox was empty so perhaps that's why it was done. My other gmail acounts have stuff in the inboxes and haven't been changed yet.
But I can see it will be initially time consuming at the start until you get it set up to suit you.0 -
I don't like this new layout on gmail at all.
And since it's been like this I have barely had any emails (no newsletters and things like I used to get daily) in any of the 3 tabs.
And emails friends have sent haven't turned up either.0
