Lombard direct update further help needed please

Hope someone can advise me. I wrote to Lombard enclosing a £10 cheque advising them that I had taken out a number of loans with them from 2003 and that I felt that I had been mis sold ppi as I was lead to believe I had to have it for the loan to be agreed. I couldn't remember my policy numbers but gave them my address at the time and date of birth. I have received a letter from them today returning the £10 cheque and advising me of my account numbers, the loan amounts and the ppi amounts that were taken out. They are now telling me that I should write to rbs is I feel I was mis sold the ppi or give them a ring. They have not provided me with copies of the load documents and I don't understand why the cheque was returned. Has anybody else had this? Do I just write to the address they have given me or would a simple phone call be enough now I have my account numbers and amounts. Any advise greatly appreciated.

Because when you asked for the SAR you confused the issue by complaining about your PPI as well.
If they've givne you the account numbers and amounts you paid, that's all you need to make a complaint. So make a complaint :)
They haven#'t given you the full SAR because as you made it clear you only want to complain about PPI, they've given you what you need to do it and waived the SAR fee.

You can stilll re-submit the SAR and ask them for all info but it's a waste of time and money now.

Thanks for the advice. Do I just write a letter giving the account numbers etc or should I just ring them?
