Grohe Wireless Shower out of warranty

I have a Grohe Wireless shower which over the 5 years has had to be replaced 2 times.
It has now broken down for the 3rd time and I am just out of my 5 year warrant. Grohe are unwilling to replace it and are instead offering to sell me a new one for 50%.
I loath to buy a new one especially since my current one has caused me so many problems. Plus I would need to pay a plumber to install it!
Is there any advice? Surely their product is not fit for purpose if it has had so many problems with it over the past 5 years?

Did you buy the thing direct from Grohe?
If not, you might like to read this post I made earlier on another thread:

Having said that, as five years have passed, you may have difficulty getting a suitable remedy from the seller.0 -
If you make the assumption that they are potentially liable for 6 years then if they decided to refund they might only give you one sixth of what you paid.
So 50% off sounds quite a good deal. I can understand why you are unhappy but I don't think you will get a better offer.0
