I want to import my chrome bookmarks from my laptop to my pc.

I found this https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/96816?hl=en-GB

I've signed in to chrome in both computers.

According to step 5 "In the "Confirm Sync Preferences" dialogue that appears, choose what you want to sync." but no dialogue appears.

Also how do I make sure that I transfer the bookmarks from the laptop to the pc and NOT the pc to the laptop?

Thanks in advance,

Debbie

Can't answer your question about Chrome settings but an alternative to transfer bookmarks -

    Go to the Bookmarks Manager

choose Export bookmarks to HTML file from the organise menu.

Save the files then copy across to pc and import them.

You do not need to do this at all!!

One of the wonders of chrome is that if it is configured with a gmail account all your bookmarks and history are saved online and can be viewed on multiple devices by just logging in!!!

You are really missing a trick if you arent using this function!

I can sit on the bus with my phone and open up my history of sites I was browsing earlier on my laptop.

You can log in anywhere in the world and do this!

    Exactly this ^^^^

Just use chrome browser on both pcs and it will automatically update and synchronise the two when you log on. It is brilliant!
