Integrated Fridge/Freezer

Hi, wondering if there's any kitchen fitters or DIYers could help me! We are currently getting a new kitchen. We bought integrated fridge/freezer, however there is no pre-drilled screw holes to enable us to fit the kitchen cupboard dorr to the front of the unit. I really don't want to drill directly onto the fridge/freezer doors. and I can't seem to find anything online or on the installing manual. Is this normal? do you screw them directly on or am I missing few parts or is this a faulty unit? The helpline is closed til tomorrow morning and this is driving us mad!!
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

Did the fridge not come with installation instructions? Read them.

The installation manual doesn't mention anything about this bit.
To be honest I am really disappointed with the manual, it has loads of stuff about how to store food but not much about how to fit the fridge/freezer in the first place.. I don't intend to fit many integrated fridge/freezer in my lifetime.. would have thought the instruction should come with more details & diagrams!

But thanks for your kind advice ryder72, the thought of reading the installation instruction/manual never crossed my mind int the first place!

Sorry if that post came across as a bit abrupt but I cant imagine what sort of integrated fridge -freezer does not come with instruction manuals.

What make / model is it? Perhaps someone on the forum can help if its a popular one.

The hinge for the carcass doors on an integrated ff don't get attached to the ff door.

They are attached to the cupboard housing the same way as an ordinary cupboard door.

A small slider mechanism is normally attached to the carcass door and a reciprocal piece attached to the ff doors (via self tappers). This enables the ff door to open when you open thevp carcass door.

The hinges will be on the carcass and the slider mechanism will be with the he ff.

Have you tried online to get the instructions? So many manufacturers have them available for download now.

If it's an appliance that John Lewis sells they often have fitting instructions on their website for integrated appliances.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.

phil99 - You are referring to fridges with sliding hinge systems. A lot of the better brands are moving towards are have completely switched over to fixed hinge systems where the furniture door is completely attached to the fridge door and is in no way connected to the housing.

Thanks for that. I've only come across the 'hinge on the carcass' type. Fitted quite a few, but wasn't aware there was a different system.

Its widely used on Bosch/Neff/Siemens and Miele (and Liebherr) fridges.

Thanks everyone for your replies. Finally got it sorted.
The fridge/freezer is actually Hotpoint HM325NI, I did download any materials they have on their website but couldn't find anything to help and their helpline was impossible to get through! Eventually rang the wholesaler where we got the ff from and they confirmed that they (hotpoint) have stopped producing units with pre-drilled holes.(Is this true?)
Although we did get it sorted, we are returning the ff as we were the under the impression when we bought the ff, it was frost free, but while searching online for this problem I found out that this particular model isn't!
They have either mis-sold or delivered the wrong model!!! I would have never found this out if I hadn't had any problem, so I suppose there's silver lining in every cloud!
fingers crossed, the next one will be easier to install than this one!
