Hi All
We are totally confused, looking to get a new kitchen, the issues are that we are thinking of downgrading in a few years and we have a large kitchen.
We have looked at various designs and manufacturers and we like the look of a couple of the designs marketed by Wren, not yet had them round to quote, can anyone advise on their quality and service before we decide or any other suggestions would be helpful.
Many Thanks

Pinch of salt advice as usual, from the man from howdens joinery....Adam if your going to jump everytime someone asks for advice about Wren, please be honest and tell them the angle your coming from....0

Does not make his post incorrect though....
OP, I suggest you read some of the other Wren Kitchens threads on this board. You might end up agreeing with Adam....
It is not that their service is inherently bad, or that they get it wrong all the time, but when they do, it seems customers struggle to get their issues resolved quickly or sometimes at all.
That said, the product is as good as anything at that price point.0 -
We bought a Wren kitchen last year.. It's very nice.. Wanted to change hob a few weeks before delivery and they were fine with that, we used our own fitters though..
I would recommend despite reading some of the horror stories on here, we decided to risk it as we liked the kitchen, and it was all good for us, we used the Aberdeen branch..0 -
Mum used Wren last year, Septemberish. They are still awaiting the replacement doors that were already damaged when they arrived to be fitted by Wren. The fridge bulb went, called them, they sent a replacement bulb. Wasn't the bulb, was faulty wiring. The built in dishwasher went wrong and they had to come out to repair ~ took about 5 weeks.
The kitchen is lovely, the fitters were lovely, helpful and tidy, the aftercare is tosh.I ave a dodgy H, so sometimes I will sound dead common, on occasion dead stupid and rarely, pig ignorant. Sometimes I may be these things, but I will always blame it on my dodgy H.
Sorry, I'm a bit of a grumble weed today, no offence intended ... well it might be, but I'll be sorry.0 -

CheersThe difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits. - Einstein0 -
To the OP, do a search, Wren have been talked about loads on here.0

Totally agree. Wren has been spoken about on here a lot and I do work for them. Wren is a new company to the uk and the correct procedures were not in place to rectify mistakes during the early days, today is normally a different story. Customer service and service recovery are top of the agenda, its not the finished article yet but its getting there fast... I look forward to the day and I don't think its far away when Wrens customer service exceeds or is better than the market leader.. WICKES.

Have you looked at Benchmarx kitchens? They often get overlooked when people are shopping around for new kitchens but the quality & service is good & they worked out much cheaper than Magnet trade for the what appeared to be basically the same kitchen.
All items are from stock, so no having to hang around for weeks or months should something not be quite right. When my kitchen was fitted a draw front was found to be missing & Benchmarx had a van deliver it that same afternoon. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Initial contact with Wren (Aberdeen) in January - salesman gave the "customer service problems are history" speech and we ordered from them to be fitted by our own fitters in February.
Happy with fact we could finance through them and the quality of their product. Less delighted with poor customer service - missing unit, sink too big for unit finally provided, slow replacement of damaged plinth.
What really annoys me still though is we could never get hold of our salesman when we wanted to discuss issues - he was either day off, with a customer or out on a house visit.
Dealt with the Regional Manager in the end to resolve issues. :T
Now it's finished though, I love my kitchen.0
