British Gas is giving away free 'Make It Greener' packs to all customers living in the London area which include energy saving lightbulbs.

Simply go its site Make It Greener Now and fill in your details.

It has Kingston in its list of boroughs, but when I tried to apply for one it said "Sorry, only open to Londoners"... 8-(

doesn't work for Harrow either. When did Harrow move out of London and why is it on the list of boroughs? Nice of them to say sorry though.

I am in Havering, and it will not accept my address either!:mad:

At the bottom of the page, on the left, there is "let us know what you think" link (do not know how to put it on here), so I clicked on it, and requested that they send me a pack. So will wait and see.

I am in Richmond upon Thames and they do not accept my application although they listed Richmond as London area.

London Borough of Bexley not in London (apparently) either... And I thought London was getting bigger!!!

harrow is in middlesex , has a HA postcode (definitely not london), although i dont know why they have stated it as included in the offer.

kingston and havering are also outside, i'm not sure of bexley or richmond, i dont cross the river too often

you are only deemed to be living in London if your postcode prefix is E, N, NW, W, SW, SE, EC, WC
