Undoing a "homegroup"

So I just stupidly created a homegroup on my windows 7 pc.

The problem is that now I can not see the other computers on my homenetwork (some of which are not on windows 7)

So I thought - arghh!

Then I thought - just remove the homegroup - which I did

Now I still can't see the other computers on the network.

They are still there, they can still see each other.

I just want to see my other computers so that I can copy files between them. I don't want anything fancy.

Any help to reset the stuff to as it was about 3 hours ago greatfully received.
