Mamas and Papas worry!!!

We purchased an entire travel system for our baby due in August from M&P and have now fully paid for the items. Delivery was due on 22nd July but we were told some time ago when we phoned to confirm this that the items in our chosen colour were out of stock but this delivery date "should be" ok and we would hear if not. My husband phoned today to check Monday was ok seeing as we didn't hear anything, and lo and behold, only a small portion of the total order will be delivered on Monday and the rest "should be" in stock by then and we will arrange delivery for those then.

I am starting to panic now as my due date is fast approaching and we have paid in excess of £600 for absolutely essential items not yet received, and no clear idea of when we will get them! And of course the frustration of now having to sit at home for at least one other additional full day waiting on the remainder. Obviously we complained about this when speaking to their customer adviser, and I have also posted a complaint on their Facebook page and am awaiting reply, but does anyone have any idea what else we should/could be doing??!!

Many thanks!

Stop stressing would be my advice. Babies don't really need any essential things apart from food and somewhere to sleep for the first few weeks. What are the absolutely essential items you need ?

Why not wait until after the 22nd July before complaining ? Both my babies were premature, we hadn't even looked at cots or prams for our daughter when she arrived !

Well, a car seat would be essential in order to get the baby home from hospital.

Not all babies are born in a hospital.

Thank you Giger. A car seat is essential, plus I imagine once baby comes I won't have lots of time to go shopping for pram etc :)anyway the main thing is we've paid a significant amount of money and have been fobbed off a few times about delivery dates so that's what's concerning me.
