Samsung LED TV which has been repaired 2 times in one year

Hi Forum. I am new to this forum so do forgive me if I have done or said anything wrong.

The reason I am contacting you all is to seek help in an issue I have with my TV.

I purchased it last year in June from a High Street store. After 5 months on debating with my wife that the screen has colour problems around the edges, I contacted Samsung for their help and they sent out their recommended repair techs. They replaced the screen.

I noticed that one of the thick wires made the back of the TV cover bulge as it is thin plastic and also noticed that there was a thin bright white strip of led's illuminating along the bottom right of the screen just behind the front chrome edging.

I contacted Samsung again last May to raise my issue and they contacted the same repair centre who took the tv away and came back a week later with the same tv which had a replaced screen. When the techs were in the house I noticed that the illuminated line now went all the way along the bottom and so I pointed it out. The repair people said that this is common with this particular model and left.

I have looked in tv shops and dont see this sort of issue on any telly and I am sure that if I saw such a thing on the display model when purchasing this brand new sealed model, I would have chosen a different model.

So today I contact Samsung again and they have said that they will arrange a different repair company to come and repair my tv. They also said that it is a jesture of goodwill. But when I contacted them in May the person I spoke to said that they will extend my warranty for another six months.

In a ideal situation I would like to have a replacement TV. Where do I stand?
Hope you can help
Kris
