crank shaft sensor most likely, if you dont have the engine light on when you drive now wait for another 2/3 stalls and it will come up then get the codes read.
They have a habbit of giving up after 10 years / 100, 000 miles or the wind blowing south by 2 degrees on a tuesday evening.
Dont get a cheap e-bay special just get a genuine bosch / vauxhall replacement, its a lot of money £50 for a piece of plastice a magnet and 2 wires but it cheaper than the hassel of replacing 2/3 cheap versions. If it doesnt pay rent sell it.
Mortgage - £2,000

Just a quick update...
I took my car to the garage and mention what you've all said. End result £45 to change the crank shaft sensor and the car seems to be running fine now.
Thanks for all your help!0 -

Thanks for coming back with an update......
One of the reasons it can be difficult to diagnose stuff like this on forums is because people go away and get the problem fixed and then don't come back to confirm what the fault was. It becomes a "best guess" scenario, with dozens of threads opened across dozens of forums, but no actual definitive answers.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Good look on changing the leads on corsa c, have you got a engine check light? You can the peddle test to check for any engine codesWant to read the Code well first
Take a deep breath get your car keys and get a pen and paper
When you get into the car you know the key has 3 clicks first on for whatever it is second the dash comes on third the starter kicks in
before you put the key into the ignition Make sure that you Press the Break and the Throttle to the Floor ( max
Then turn the key on until The dash board come on and DONT START THE CAR
Wait 2 sec and keep the pedals Down to the floor
the service light under the management light should start flashing
it will flash 4 times leaving 2 second space representing each number
Zero gets 10 flashes
for exampleP0110
the light will flash ten times Break (2sec Or 1 not sure) then once, (2sec) once again, then ten
if you have more than one code it will stop for a break then gives the next code
its not a very useful way but helps when you dont want to go to the dealer for a lose socket
this is for Corsa C the Newer models have even better way to tell you the code i think which is on your Mileage Display It will show ECN0 XXXX
which is error code Number forget the zero and the last four digits is what you want
