Has anyone gone through the Natwest mortgage process? We submitted a full application on Wednesday 2nd July, but still heard nothing regarding valuation etc.
There's lots of info on here regarding Halifax/Nationwide mortgages but not much on Natwest.
Any help appreciated!

CHASE THEM NOW... Otherwise you'll be into conversations like 'oh yes, we wrote to you three weeks ago requesting a copy of your 10 metre swimming certificate'...
Ours took 8 weeks application to valuation - but we're a complex case.
They 'quoted' 6-8 weeks to completion. The reality is you need to keep on top of info requests, because paperwork does get lost / misplaced (ours did four times) and you may have to resend. Every time they ask for something it takes a day to get onto the system (or tell you it's not been received) and a further three days to be looked at...0 -
I would imagine you should have heard something by now, for straight forward cases i would have expected a mortgage offer in this time.
I havnt used natwest but for queries like this the best people to speak to are natwest.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I have submitted via a broker on Tuesday 16th July. Too early to chase now of course by the builder has a deadline for 12th Aug exchange on contracts. I hope it does not take as long as you Jessica. My MA advised a week to 10 days before we would hear anything after submission.
Out of interest what documents were you asked to send. My MA asked for a whole load of stuff just in case.0 -
Hi, I'm using NatWest, here's my timeline:
10th June: Full application submitted
25th June: Valuation/Survey instructed
11th July: Valuation/Survey took place
18th July: Today! Received survey and notice that valuation is fine.
Am told that I should get my mortgage offer tomorrow, pending 'final checks', whatever they might be.0 -
I hope mine is quicker... I don't want to lose the house by not meeting the 12th Aug deadline. Did you have to provide additional information as part of your application or was your timeline based on Natwest having everything they needed?0

I had to provide SA302s from HMRC (self-employed), bank statements, and... I think that was it actually. They ID'd me electronically. I also had to sign their anti-impersonation letter, twice, as they lost the first one I sent back.
So I suppose there was around a week's delay getting the SA302s and then more waiting for the valuation as I live in the south east where there is a backlog. Five-ish weeks in total. Hopefully yours will be quicker if in straightforward employment.0 -

Hi
Here is our timeline with natwest:
Full application 4th July
Valuation fees taken 16th July
Valuation booked 24th July
Although we do need to resubmit some documents as the adviser who certified the copies in the bank did not follow the correct procedure. I have rang Natwest a couple of times and found them helpful and they don't mind giving updates so would definitely give them a call0 -
