Well I wonder if some people bring problems on themselves!

I have cancelled 3 times with Lovefilm, each time I called them up with 1 week to go on my free trial. I checked their website a couple of days later to make sure that the DVD's were returned and that the status of the account was cancelled. Not difficult.

Doonhamer - How do you manage to get this free... usually vouchers, codes etc - tend to be one for each customer so they can't be reused.
Hate it when I hear someone gets a really good service or free stuff... I always manage to get a bad service and it usually costs me more!

Just finished my first ever 30 days free trial with them - no problem at all.
But after reading all the horror stories I made sure to cancel well in advance (6 working days). I had 5 DVDs in total (1 at a time)

I would just forget 14days trial though- no way enough!

I would have thut that i can't get any free trial now but some poeple seem to use loads of them. Do you use different addresses?
    Thanks

Well I had a 3 month free trial and it had just ran out and someone on this forum posted another one. Great thing was that it worked with cancelled accounts, so re activating it gave me another 3 months.

Before that I had some 2 month trials, had to use a different credit card and debit card each time, and once I got them sent to my mums address.

I suppose I'm a bit of a tart, but hey, this is a money saving forum.

One thing I have noticed though, there aren't many good films out there. I don't think I would pay for rentals. Maybe in the Winter.

I've not really had any problems. I think reading the problems that some people have had on other threads I've noticed that the majority of people who have problems are people using free trials & not cancelling/sending the dvds on time. I've been with them over a year & think that they're great!
nothing to see here, move along...

I agree, I have had a few free trials and I make sure I cancel in plenty of time so as not to get charged for next month. when you are finished delete all titles from your list before you post discs back (they will e-mail to request you add titles to your list but just ignore this) and then once they have been received cancel, if you cancel after 11pm you may not have to call lovefilm to confirm cancellation.

If you call to cancel they will probably offer you 3 months for the price of 1 which is still a good deal if you watch a lot of DVD's

here is a code for a 30 day trial with Lovefilm

go to http://www.lovefilm.com/freegift and enter code ATRQH3Y9H

If you wish to carry on at end of trial better to cancel first and when you call to confirm cancellation they may offer you 3 months for the price of 1 to keep you with them which may not be free but is still a good deal if you watch a lot of DVD's

I have found that lately they have been sending me more of my high priority selections more quickly than before

Lovefilm are spending a fortune on advertising at the moment all these codes and refer a friend, seems a bit desperate to me especially since they admitted losing £1000's after taking on screenselect.

I have'nt got a good word to say about lovefilm, nor have I met anybody who has.
Did you know you can get Viagra software now??? Yeah, it turns your floppy drive into a hard drive :D
