Good list! I've recently been looking to buy a new car and found out that VOSA allow you to check the entire MOT history of your vehicle online for free so you can see what advisories it has against its name. All you need is the latest MOT certificate number: https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history-vehicle.
As you know Crab Man I'm also going to add http://www.service4service.co.uk/ in the list because they gave my car a good service so would recommend looking there for price comparisons in your local area on car servicing.1 -
