    If i was you i would just threaten them with court over the way you have been treated.
    Write them one more letter explaining everything one last time and give them 14 days to respond. Explain to them that if they do not repsond after 14 days you will take it further as breach of contract(which they say has been terminated)

    Do you know on exactly what terms of breach of contract I'd take them to court over?

    I suppose by them letting me cancel after 6 months they're breaching they're own contract? :p

    I've emailed him mixing business with a bit of the sympathy vote. Hopefully the guy is a nice guy and will genuinally understand. On the other side if not I've got all the witness and trading standards information in there too.

    Does anoyone know details on laws of credit references? I've been told they can mark my credit ref just like that, and theres no court involved, no letters, just all behind the scenes!

    Thats true if you default, a company will mark your file doesn't have to go to court. Its something you will more than likely have agreed to when you signed the credit agreement
