Power Shower Water Supply

I'm guessing he thought I wouldn't realise he hadn't done it properly and if I hadn't then he was onto a winner in that it took him hardly any time or effort and he also would have saved money on pipework etc.
Bad luck for him that I at least know how to read an instruction manual!xxx Nikki xxx0 -
A power shower needs dedicated independent cold and hot feeds. Former from the roof tank and latter from the HW cylinder. It needs to be like that so that it has balanced supplies.
An electric shower runs off cold mains only. If he's plumbed it with a tee off the cold mains riser to the roof that is quite incorrect.
Perhaps he thinks it's an electric shower? People often confuse the two types but he should know better.
The paperwork will tell you exactly what it needs.
Cheers
In light of our (ongoing) boiler leak problem - we are considering getting a electric power shower fitted (for future peace of mind) - however - we don't have a header / storage tank - our system works directly on the mains water..
Are you saying that a Power Shower is out because of this ?0 -
Yes, you can't run a pumped (power) shower off a combi. if that's what you mean. Simply because the combi can't be guaranteed to keep up with the pump requirements. You can have a conventional mixer shower (subject of course to suitable combi flow rate and pressure, which can only be determined by a site inspection). No free lunch, and no free laptop

Yes. I thought my post clear. Sorry - it obviously wasn't. Only an electric shower will suit you as Macman has already stated. One thing at a time though. Are you saying that a Power Shower is out because of this ?
