hi,
I bought some bank shares using hsbc's investdirect a few years ago when they all crashed.
due to a recent issue I have had call to sell my shares as I need a deposit for a property.
so i sold them a couple of days ago and then realised I couldnt withdraw the funds without "applying" to upgrade to investdirect plus, which takes 3 days to set up apparently.
so am i missing something here do i really need to apply for a separate account to move the cash into my savings account from my invest direct acc?

If you have a standard invest direct account, your proceeds should be automatically transferred to your HSBC current account 3 working days after you sell them.

You're missing something here. I rarely deal with inquiries about InvestDirect but there is no need to change your InvestDirect account to withdraw the funds - That I'm sure of.0
