Super MSE tips needed, redundancy :(

Today I have been made redundant as the company I worked for has shut down. Luckily I saw this coming and have a new job, just waiting for clearances and my start date. In the meantime I will have at least weeks where I don't get paid (new job is month in hand). I had planned for the 8 week with no wages but now its looking to be more like 10 or 11!!!

With 3 children to feed and clothe, summer holidays, a mortgage and OH who works all hours he can, I need some MSE tips!

This is the first time this has happened to me as well, feeling a little bit down, disappointed, angry etc

The Old Style board is a really good place to look for money saving meal plan/recipe ideas.

You may also find the Debt-free wannabe board helpful - if you go there and post a statement of affairs (details of all your income and outgoings etc) they'll have lots of suggestions about where you can save. Lots of people on that board live on very little and they're really supportive.

It's hard to give any more advice without knowing more about your situation!

im not as bad off as most in my situation, I have a supportive OH, but still its going to be a tight few weeks especially with it been the summer hols. OH has booked a holiday for us abroad for our anniversary in September (bless him xx) but now I know I wont be paid till at least 2 weeks after that hes not bothered but I hate not having my income too and relying on him
