                    Hiya,
I'm needing at least one huge bag of pea gravel or similar to use as a base for a playhouse.
Where is the best place to buy it? Wickes seems to be reasonably priced at £38 for 850kg, however, £25 delivery
Has anyone bought any recently and got a good deal or know of anywhere that does free delivery?
Thanks.

I don't think we could lift 85kg Suppose we could maybe empty the huge bag into a trailer.... 0 Suppose we could maybe empty the huge bag into a trailer.... 0

No no just get them to put the bag in the trailer and you can shovel it as you go.0

Ah, I see! Do you know if Wickes would do that? I'm going to phone Jewson's in the morning, they probably would, but from what I could see, they're gravel was £50+ 0 0

We have a small family builders merchants near us which has very competitive pricing, check your area for similar. If nothing else you aren't giving your money to a national chain.0

our local merchant does free delivery but you have to spend £75 before VAT, his prices are fairly good and if you tell them its cheaper in wickes or similar they will normally price match or get their price nearer and as Hintza says better to give your money to a local firm.
it will need to be a robust trailer for 850kg.
if its got to be a chain, screwfix / b&q / wickes / travis etc all do jumbo bags0
