Move out inspection timing

I had better preface this by saying I live in Scotland, just incase that changes people's answers.
We have a 6 month short term assured tenancy which ends on the 31st July. We handed in our notice on the 30th June. The LL has been in touch today asking what date we move out so she can arrange a final inspection. I replied asking if the 28th was convenient and she asked if that was the day we were actually moving to which I explained that we actually got the keys for the new place early next week and that due to schedules we wanted the extra week to ensure everything as moved and cleaned properly before having the inspection. She didn't seem too happy with this but surely if our tenancy doesn't end until the 31st then we're not doing anything wrong?
As far as I'm aware the house won't be getting let out again and will be put up for sale.
I'd rather not leave with any bad feelings so if we're being unreasonable with our timing then I'd rather know so we can try and work something out if needs be.
Thanks

Assuming your notice was worded clearly & correctly to end 31st July (& the tenancy permits it.??not sure on that bit as it's end fixed term??.) and that you've paid to 31st July then you have every right to be there to end 31st - indeed to 23:59 if you so chose...
Actually looking at Shelter's guidance
http://scotland.shelter.org.uk/get_advice/advice_topics/renting_rights/renting_from_a_private_landlord/short_assured_tenancies#5The minimum notice you have to give is (if the notice is not stated on the lease):- 40 days if your tenancy is for six months or longer
- 28 days if your tenancy is continuing on a month to month basis after the original period has expired.
However you've no right to demand a check-out inspection before the end nor any right I think (other than fairness) to be there after end date. So take loads of photos & get a witness..
More importantly was the deposit protected & were you served with the prescribed information ?? (If not, depending, you could sue for up to 3x deposit...)

&

- the bit about prescribed info...
Was in incoming inventory & photos done & did you agree to it??

Our tenancy states 1 months notice for termination and the landlord accepted that. We used a template letter to end the tenancy so I'm assuming everything was worded correctly. Our deposit has been protected in a scheme. An inventory was given to us and we checked and signed it.
We're not demanding the check or even to be present. The LL has asked us when we're moving out so she can carry it out and has asked us to be present.
We were just going to take pictures.
All in all she seems very fair and professional it was just the way she seemed narked that we would have 2 properties for a week and that it was putting her out?0
