Advisors will normally set a 4-week reminder for the return of the form , the majority are returned within this time.
It might sound obvoius but make sure the name & NI number of the Pension Credit claimant is on the front of the MI12. Very often the mortgage is in a partner/spouses name - if the partner's details are in the front of the form it can result in it being linked up to the wrong account.
You can phone Woolwich to ask if they've receieved / sent the form.
When you say advisors, do you actually mean DWP staff? If so, no one from the Pension Service has shown any level of being proactive. I've had to do all of the running round!
Yes I agree with you to make sure that the name of the claimant is on the front page.
In my case I am the Pension Credit applicant (joint claim) yet the mortgage is in the sole name of my wife.
Hence the reason why the bank won't have anything to do with me when I telephone and my wife is the worlds worst at even trying to understand what the difference is between welfare and benefit! Everything has to be done via the post which isn't a bad thing really.0
