Tesco - an about turn - or a re-think soon?

Tesco's in the whole of the UK are currently reviewing their entire parking policy and the people who 'oversee' it.
At least that's what my local branch manager told me this morning when I asked to see a copy of the 'Rules & Regulations' mentioned on a sign in the Car Park.
It only went up last year and today I decided to read it carefully.
The sign was a Town & City Parking one - a trading name of Smart Parking Ltd. It gave the usual guff about anyone contravening the rules and regs etc etc will get a PCN. But no rules on display anywhere and the manager couldn't show me any either.
He freely admitted that as far as he knew, they were all due to be taken down in the very near future, and as they had not used T&C for some time no PCNs had been issued recently at his store or were going to be issued, anytime soon.
I asked if this review/rethink was for Scotland only and he said it was for the entire country.
He's waiting to hear what the new company policy is.
He seemed a decent chap and I can well believe he's as much in the dark as I am.
I'll be watching to see what happens.

The Tesco near us has within the last few weeks started to use a company called Parkeon. Cameras, parking ticket codes, threats of fines etc. Oh the joy of shopping there. You can't read the computer screen in bright sunshine so I'm waiting to find out what will happen to me after entering the wrong car reg (my post/query is on this page somewhere).0

Yes, I read your post - It's downright ridiculous - you made a genuine mistake and there seems to be no way to rectify it.
The system is nuts.
You'll get the best advice on here how to deal with it.
So don't worry - you are not going to pay anything at all.0 -
I think you'll find that Parkeon is merely the manufacturer of the hardware, not the operator.Je suis Charlie.0
