JSA and having a 'trial day' for possible job (paid)?

I am currently on JSA.
I have been applying for jobs, and have been approached by a company who want me to come in on Friday for a paid 'trial day'. If they think i am good enough, they will hire me on a self-employed basis.
Do i need to tell the job centre, and declare the money paid to me? I presume i do?
Does anyone know what will happen to my JSA for that week?

Yes, you need to declare it.
You can work up to 16 hours without signing off.
It will be deducted from your JSA, less £20 (?)0 -
Thanks Roger.
can someone just confirm its actually less £20, i thought it was £5 when on JSA?
With petrol and childcare for the day, i'll actually be losing money, but worth it for 1 day if i get the job!
Many thanks.0 -
I think you're right - I beleive I was thinking of some other allowance, and that it's 5.0
