Is it rude to ask for the results of personality testing?

Hi,
I recently applied for a job, and I got an email from the PA to the Area Partners asking me to complete some on-line questionnaire that apparently tells them about my personality and generates a report.
As they haven't got back to me within 2 weeks to organise an interview, which I fully understand as to be honest, I was punching well above my weight when I applied for the position :) I can assume I've been unsuccessful, yet again.
However, I would like to know what the personality test suggested. Do you think it would be rude to ask?
I'm kind of thinking that it would be rude to ask, but I want to anyway. What do you guys think?

Would it come under the Data Protection Act, in which case you should have the right to request a copy?
  • 100% Definitely ask. They can only say no and shows initiative / interest in self development.

I just asked they said they aren't allowed to give out the results?
I don't really see what the issue could be, given that its my personality they tested! :D
(and of course concluded they didn't like)

  • UPDATE:
Even better they just offered me an interview, can't do it though because the position is full time and I'm going to university.

I'm struggling to see the logic in applying for jobs you have absolutely no intention of doing if offered. Let's hope they don't keep a record of you so that when you actually want/need a job, they say no because you wasted their time, money and resources applying pointlessly on this occasion.

Well erm actually, if they cannot understand something that is clearly stated on my CV then frankly that is their problem.
Sorry to be so blunt, but why do people assume that fault lies with me?

It clear states in my education section that
'I hope to start a BA degree in ....... at the University of..... in September 2013'.

so you just apply for any job and then let them decide if you would want it or not ?

if you applied for it, they would assume you would want to, and be able to do it.

Plus saying you hope to start a course, doesn't mean you are definatly not looking for a full time job

    That is all true actually.

Well they obviously liked your CV, I'd do the interview and see what happens, there may be the possibility of a job share with another candidate, or something else has come up, maybe covering a sick leave or holiday cover, or someone has asked to reduce their hours.

You could also consider doing the course part-time or by distance learning.

They basically refused to interview me when I made it clear to them :(
Plus, I'm really looking for a student experience and as the job is where I currently live now and not where I'll be going to university, it would be difficult- its a shame really, the salary was £20k :(

Plus, I'm lucky to be given an offer at such a reputable university, and I want to take it :)
