Jewellers fob off

Oooh I'm just so mad and I needed to tell someone!
I put down a deposit (£120) for an engagement ring at the end of March in a jewellers- the saleswoman told me it would be 1-2 weeks delivery. No problem I thought. So 3 days later I got a phonecall saying it would be 4-6 weeks delivery. Bit of a let down, but stil no problem.
4-6 weeks went by, no ring. 7 weeks got a phonecall - it will be in by the end of next week, 8 weeks it will be in tomorrow, it will be in Friday, it will be in Monday next week. 9 weeks, same story. Rang today and the 'customer service' advisor and I put that in inverted commas becasue I don't think she's ever provided actual service to me, got quite shirty.
What can I do - its already managed to put the dampners on what should be a happy time. I just don't know what my rights are - if I say its taking too long can they still keep my deposit?
(Oh it's me buying it and not my BF becasuse he can't get to the shop from where he works)

Go and get your money back0

You must tell them, in writing, that 'time is now the essence of the contract', and state a date by which you expect them to either come up with the goods you ordered, or refund you in full. Don't let them fob you off with excuses that it's not their fault, your contract is with them, not their supplier."You were only supposed to blow the bl**dy doors off!!"0

Its as simple as go and get your money back. You dont need any rights for this, they have your money for a deposit for something that was going to take1-2 weeks delivery9 weeks0
