Does anyone have a bubble mixture receipe?

Does anyone have a receipe (if that's the right terminology) to make bubble mixture. I used to have one years ago, but can't put my hands on it. I'm pretty sure it included glycerine or sugar, to help the bubbles last longer, but I can't remember how many parts washing up liquid it is to water.

thanks

Glycerin always worked the best! My nana could make the best bubble mixture for miles :)
  • I've just being doing a search myself and 2 parts washing liquid to 10 parts water to 1 part glycerine seems to be the most popular. Now to find where I can get my hands on some glycerine.

    Cheers

You can get glycerine in supermarkets. It's with the food colourings and flavours in one of those tiny glass bottles. It's used to soften icing.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.
