Asda properties are normally owned by their parent company Walmart.Custard_Pie wrote: »I'd say it is highly unlikely that Asda own the land. Hi just received the following e-mail from smart parking.
"Dear
Parking Charge Notice Number : TE15700033
Thank you for your recent communication.
I have noted the points you raised and would like to confirm that we are cancelling the Parking Charge Notice.
If I can be of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact me.
Yours sincerely,
Smart Parking Ltd"
So the fun is over, no court and no appeal to Popla. I think i was helped by Howler's comments from ASDA calling PCN - a penalty and claiming the fee was based on overheads.0 -
Well done!!!
Email a copy to 'Howler', say that Asda's inaction, reference to thinking they can 'fine' people, and lack of customer care over this extortion has been seen by posters on a very popular national forum. And that you have got it cancelled now by the way, so it wasn't that difficult so Asda could have done it themselves. And you won't bother to shop at Asda in future due to their putting Smart Parking - which was banned by the DVLA earlier this year - ahead of a customer.PRIVATE 'PCN'?
