How does Tesco Direct (VAT registered) who doesn't routinely supply VAT receipts know or not know if their customers are VAT registered?
In practice I suspect they usually find out when their customer asks them for a VAT receipt (like I mentioned in my previous post).
How HMRC expects companies to know without being told or having a request for a VAT receipt I don't know.Common sense?...There's nothing common about sense!0
