That sounds lovely. I'd be interested too if you find any. Especially if suitable for disabled as have promised my mum a trip to York Minster.

Griffon Forest at Flaxton = avoid at all costs. I spent a long weekend there, the hot tub water was not checked throughout our stay at all and, a couple of days after returning home, I developed a very nasty rash which my GP said was likely to be as a result of the contamination of the water in the hot tub.

It wasn't only the hot tub though, the whole place was grimy, black mould in the showers, lumpy bed, sorry but I would not recommend.

Just wanted to add .... since our stay at Griffon Forest, never again will we stay somewhere that is not ETB rated.

No recommendations but you could try Keldy or Cropton forests through Forest Holidays

Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.
  • York/Yorkshire is not the hot tub capital of the world. There is plenty to see and do without that sort of thing if you don't mind the cold.
