Hi All,
Looking to sell. Have asked Foxtons with 2 others to quote.
Foxtons tie you in with the longest sole agency contract of 12 weeks as opposed to 2 and 6 weeks for the other two. But what are they like at selling? Anyone ever had any experience?
Their boards seems to be well around this area now and they claim to have sold quite a few properties. They also claim to have a large client base outside of the area too.
Trying to work out the pros and cons here.

I know nothing of them personally, but suggest you do a forum search for Foxton's - I think you will find it enlighteningIt is a good idea to be alone in a garden at dawn or dark so that all its shy presences may haunt you and possess you in a reverie of suspended thought.

No opinions here will guarantee a quick sale.
So why tie yourself in for so long. If they are no good, do you really want to be stuck with them?
Tell them you'll only agree to 6 week tie in or you'll go elsewhere?0 -

As someone who recently bought - I tended to avoid Foxtons unless there was a property on rightmove we desperately wanted to view. For the odd viewing we did make with them, there was always a mess with the keys. As all the individual agents are on their own comission which makes up most of their salary, they would hang on to keys making it really difficult for their colleagues to have other viewings on the property.
I cant stand them and personally I wouldnt touch them with a barge pole0
