Declined a Bank Of Scotland current account

I went into Bank Of Scotland today to try open a Classic Current Account, which I thought I'd get, but was surprised to be told that they could only offer me a cash account.
I've never missed a payment on anything but could it be because I opened an:
RBS c/a : December 2012
HSBC c/a : May 2013
Nationwide c/a : March 2013
Amex charge card : June 2013
Barclaycard : March 2013
+ a few other credit searches
Or is this still not enought to be declined a current account ?

I suspect that with a new account almost every month they are a little wary of you at the moment,0

I am in a similar position, anyone know how long I need to leave it before I can apply again for the account I was rejected for, or another account?0

Most will make you wait at least 6 months before reapplying. Trying sooner will sometimes get you rejected without even checking your credit report.0
