PPI Reclaim Advice

Hi, finding all this rather difficult to understand.
I had several different credit cards over the years but do not have any of their details anymore. I remember having PPI on at least one if not more of these after a sales advisor call.
I recently got a refund from RBS which was great but I would like to know what to do about the other old cards I had and wonder is there anyway to find out who i did or did not have cards with, from memory I had cards with Egg, Barlcay Card, MBNA (2x) and Ulster Bank but am not sure which if any I took PPI with - reading news stories last year I assumed I would receive letters from those banks but nothing has came.
Any simple advice would be great.

They won't send you letters if you didn't have PPI.
You could phone the ones you remember you had the cards with and ask them but if you don't remember much else, how will you remember what you wish to complain about?0
