My husband is ex army, he had a medical discharge and receives a 50% WDP and also receives unemployability supplement. He has now been diagnosed in 1st stage alzheimers. My question is, is there any help I could receive from anyone in relation to this as at the moment I fell lost and totally helpless as he has just recovered from bowel cancer and also had a triple heart bypass. Any advice I would be grateful.

Hi SpringWatchGirl,
I had hoped that someone with more knowledge would have replied to you by now, but they have not. So I will give you what I know.
I would probably give the SSAFA a phone call, and see who they can put you in touch with.
Here is the web address - http://www.ssafa.org.uk/
Then I would move onto ABF - http://www.soldierscharity.org/
Let us know how you get on.
Regards,
