If you have a prob do you really think you will ever see them again after they have been paid, what happens if the manu comes out under warentee & says they aren't covered because it's down to installer error, so your cheap boiler install is no longer cheap & all it's given you is aload of grief

southcoastrgi, what's to say the independent engineers quoted above are still going to be around? Look at how many people cry about how bad BG are and they are the most expensive and largest.

Even the government's main warmfront contractor is from a previously collapsed company.

You should aviod cheapo ebay 'deals' - like boilers for a grand or bathrooms supplied and installed for £400 . . .

These guys are most likely to be scammers!

It is hard to find a good tradesmen these days.

Surely the best way has got to be asking your friends for a recommendation?

The internet can blind us to the obvious some times!
I was going to put the name of my plumbing business here so you know what I do should I give out any advice plumbing wise - however apparently I cant do that - go figure!!!!!
New signature - I am a Plumber (I am just not allowed to tell you!)

Warmfront no longer exists, plus it was 64 installation companies spread across the country,

A local recommended installer is likely to still be around to sort out any probs you may have as opposed to an "eBay co" that is likely to take your money & give no customer backup whatsoever

a boiler (at least those you quoted) cost around £1000 at non trade prices

so for one plumber (you dont need more than one for this job) you would pay around £1000 for labor and other materials ?

i guess it would depend on what else needs doing to make your current setup compatible with new combi boilers.... but its too expensive for all three.

I would have thought more around £1300 installed depending where you are.

I got one installed in my flat (2bed) in coventry for £900 around 3 years ago.

I haven't laughed so much for ages :rotfl:
