Interest free purchase cards - how long before I can use the same provider again?

in Credit cards
Ever since we bought a house about ten years ago, I've taken out an interest free credit card about once a year to pay for things such as home insurance, car insurance and any large purchases. I then pay it off in regular installments over the year, just to spread the cost. After the interest free period ends, I cancel the card.
I've now got to the stage where I've used pretty much every provider in the marketplace, so I'm wondering if that will stop me from taking out the best deals, because I've used their services before and they haven't made any money from me in interest payments.
Specifically, I'm looking at the 18 month deal from Tesco. Both my girlfriend and I had tesco cards about three years ago, which we cancelled after the rate ended. I know that companies keep your details on file, even if you ask them not to, so are they likely to stop me from getting the 18 month deal because I'm a recent previous customer?

Each lender's website should tell you. But 6-12 months seems to be a typical period.0

Well, you'll have to see by applying, whether or not Tesco (or any other CC) will consider you for a second time at a promotional. They might be willing to give you a card, but not at a free interest promotional deal. Just like most of us, Credit Cards do look for long-term relationships, not the "wham-bang-thank-you-ma'am" brigade.
It's rather like a 'three months free' subscription to a magazine/newspaper. If you don't continue as a subscriber, they are not likely to repeat the offer.
So, if you get turned-down, take it on the chin.0
